I’ve lost 88 pounds so far by changing what I eat and how much I eat.
So if you want to know how to lose weight fast, I can tell you what I am doing and how it’s working out for me.
I don’t like coffee or tea, so to get my caffeine fix, I drink Pepsi Zero, and it has zero calories. And I use the fizz for the ease of taking my Metformin ER pills (they’re huge!).
There are so many yummy veggies and fruits that are filling and super low in carbs and calories – carrots, spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, strawberries, bananas, lettuce, cabbage, regular squash, spaghetti squash, zucchini, peas and beans, asparagus, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, water chestnut, and more.
Eating the fad diet, Keto, is VERY unhealthy. The Keto diet wants a person to eat very few carbs but eat high fat. That’s not at all good for the heart or to help lose weight. Eat low carbs (think healthy carbs like the veggies mentioned above) and eat low fat along with low sodium (the sodium makes your body retain water, thereby causing weight gain).
Lean meats, poultry, and fish that are not dosed with loads of sauces and creams are also fairly low in calories. I prefer salmon, chicken, and turkey because they’re the lowest in fat. I don’t fry meat, fish, or poultry. I usually use the air fryer, slow cooker, Instant Pot, or grill on the stove in a Wok.
Cut out regular bread and eat only whole grain bread and limit that to one or two slices a day. Cut out regular pasta and use only whole grain pasta. Cut out white rice and use only brown rice. Cut out things like flour wraps, pancakes, hamburger buns, hot dog buns, pizza, biscuit. Cut out high fat foods like bacon, pepperoni, wieners. Cut out sauces and gravies. Use light or fat free mayo, fat free cream cheese, fat free milk, etc.
And perhaps the hardest for folks these days – cut out most if not all processed foods and actually cook your food from scratch.

Cutting out the junk food and the foods loaded with carbs and calories is the best way to lose weight fast. This is the best weight loss motivation I can give you – if I can lose weight fast like this by eating less carbs and calories, you can too.
Obviously if you exercise along with a change in diet, you will lose weight faster than just by changing your diet. Make a point to walk a few minutes every day to help yourself lose weight. Invest in a treadmill, an exercise bike, maybe an elliptical machine. Make a goal is to use them all at least once a day. Start out will be slow and build up your time to at least 30 minutes a day total exercise, along with continuing to eat healthier foods.
I don’t recommend for anyone to just stop eating, nor do I recommend the Keto diet (all that fat isn’t the least bit good for you!). That’s not healthy at all. If you don’t have anything healthy to eat and your don’t have money at the moment to buy healthy food, I would suggest you start when you do get paid so that you can buy healthier foods. Make a point to create a shopping list for every shopping trip and stick to it. And don’t go shopping while you’re hungry!
